Links

Harry Potter agus an Órcloch (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone) is a good resource for anyone already familiar with the Harry Potter books.

Some language learners argue that Harry Potter is not a good resource due to the amount of uncommon language (wizard, magic, muggle, etc.). However, a critical aspect of language learning is finding resources that you are interested in and enjoy engaging with.

Short Stories in Irish

Links

If a full novel is too intimidating, Short Stories in Irish might be more appropriate. This book is broken down into 8 stories over 200 pages. Each story has 3 or 4 chapters, followed by a chapter summary, some key vocabulary, and questions about the chapter. The stories are diverse and the language is relatively simple aimed at A2-B1 levels. Due to the narrative, the words often repeat several times which is helpful for remembering them.

Audio is available, sold separately from the book.
